2003
GBS was incorporated in November as a trading firm, focused on second-source consumable parts used in semiconductor wafer manufacturing equipment
2006
GBS began trading and supplying more products, such as the Electrostatic Chuck, and Process Kit Consumables.
GBS also embarked on Factory 3.0, its endeavour to assist clients in automation of its equipment, starting with extra sensory instruments.
2010
GBS attained the requirements of Spring Singapore, a government agency, to obtain funding for a Tech-Transfer from USA on Heater Refurbishment for wafer fabs.
2011
GBS expanded on the range of second-source parts that it supplied and carried out repair services for its clients.
2014 – 2015
GBS started to develop its Visual & Sensor Systems by collaborating with GUTC in the space of Remote Control Management (RCM) and IoT Sensors.
GBS expanded into the provision of professional engineers to its clients for Preventive Maintenance.
GBS attained ISO 9001 certification.
2015 – 2016
GBS attained the level of a Certified PACT partner with ST Kinetics.
GBS obtained its first Production Order to equip the Singapore military’s Terrex Vision system.
2016
As a precursor to its Factory 4.0 solutions, GBS implemented RCM for Micron Singapore, fab-wide.
GBS established its sales presence in Hsinchu, Taiwan.
2017 – 2018
Working as a Systems Integrator for its Taiwanese partner, GBS advanced into the Factory 4.0 segment via the 1st Generation of the GOBOT system.
GBS obtained its first production purchase orders to equip 420 public buses with GBS’ ADAS system.
2019 – 2020
GBS won the Singapore SME 1000 award.
GBS launched its 2nd Generation of GOBOT system, an AI-driven product for F4.0.
GBS achieved digitisation of its quality and warehousing management system projects.
2022
GBS secured its first overseas Factory 4.0 project order from a wafer fab in Europe.
GBS made a strategic investment in Vispect Group.
GBS signed a collaboration agreement with a Singaporean company to work on Vision Systems and ADAS solutions.
2023
GBS set up a JV in the state of Arizona in the USA site office for the wafer fabs market.
GBS was acquired by Japan Material Group.
2025 – Present
GBS targets to become established in the ADAS
market.
GBS also expects to expand its F4.0 businesses to both existing and new clientele.
